SAMIR ZAKIR, Founder & President

As President & Founder, Samir serves as the chief visionary and executive leader of A New Era America, guiding the organization’s mission, strategy, and impact across all levels. As the architect of ANEA’s vision to heal minds, restore humanity, and empower communities to thrive, Samir oversees all programs, operations, and partnerships, ensuring that every initiative reflects the organization’s values of compassion, innovation, and integrity. A lifelong mental health advocate and orchestrator of ideas, he develops transformative programs, drives mental health innovation, and cultivates partnerships that strengthen ANEA’s presence and influence nationwide. He manages all department heads and staff, oversees fundraising, directs strategic planning, and ensures the cohesive execution of organizational goals through strong leadership and collaboration.


As the organization’s primary decision-maker and public representative, the President leads with both heart and strategy, balancing visionary thinking with operational excellence. He works closely with executive leaders such as the Director of Programs: Mental Health Innovation & Impact and the Director of Operations & Public Affairs to translate vision into measurable results, ensuring every campaign, program, and partnership advances ANEA’s long-term sustainability and social impact. Through his leadership, he empowers teams, fosters a culture of purpose and accountability, and builds the alliances necessary to expand ANEA’s humanitarian and mental health mission across the United States.

NICK BERRY, Co-Founder & Director of Programs: Mental Health Innovation, & Impact

Nick serves as both a clinical and executive leader at A New Era America, overseeing all programmatic, therapeutic, and operational facets of the organization’s mental health and wellness initiatives. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), who specialized in trauma recovery, he brings deep expertise in evidence-based practice, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health innovation, ensuring every ANEA program delivers measurable impact, compassion-centered care, and long-term outcomes for the individuals and communities we serve. He co-supervises all clinical and program staff, leads the design and evaluation of program curricula, and oversees the quality, compliance, and performance of ANEA’s service delivery network.


Beyond clinical oversight,  Nick plays a key executive role in advancing organizational growth, innovation, and partnership development. He collaborates closely with the President, Medical Director, and Chief Financial & Compliance Officer to align programs with ANEA’s strategic and financial goals while expanding cross-sector partnerships that enhance reach and impact. From forging alliances with healthcare and mental wellness organizations to cultivating relationships with funders and institutional partners, he ensures ANEA’s programs remain dynamic, scalable, and rooted in both compassion and strategy. This role embodies the organization’s commitment to bridging clinical excellence with visionary leadership, driving forward ANEA’s mission to heal minds, restore humanity, and empower communities to thrive.

LYLE, Director of Operations & Public Affairs

Lyle serves as the central bridge between A New Era America’s internal leadership and its expanding external network of partners, donors, and advocates. This role oversees the organization’s operational excellence while advancing its visibility, influence, and impact across public, private, and philanthropic sectors. The Director ensures that every internal process—from campaign coordination to cross-departmental collaboration—runs efficiently and in alignment with ANEA’s mission to heal minds, restore humanity, and empower communities to thrive.


Balancing operational leadership with external engagement, the Director of Operations & Public Affairs drives strategic partnerships, high-level donor relations, and corporate collaborations that fuel ANEA’s programs and long-term growth. Working closely with the President, creative, and finance teams, this leader manages all talent partnerships, public relations, and advancement efforts that elevate the organization’s brand and deepen its social footprint. With a dual focus on organizational infrastructure and relationship strategy, the DOPA ensures ANEA operates as a unified, mission-driven force, delivering measurable impact, sustaining meaningful partnerships, and representing the organization’s values of compassion, innovation, and integrity on every public platform.

BOB BURKE, Esq., Co-Founder & Director of Advocacy, Government Partnerships, & External Strategy

As Director of Advocacy, Government Partnerships & External Strategy, Bob serves as a chief architect of A New Era America’s public influence, advocacy strategy, and institutional partnerships. As an executive leader and trusted advisor, he brings decades of experience and a powerful network within government, philanthropy, and civic leadership to advance ANEA’s mission of healing minds, restoring humanity, and strengthening communities. This role unites advocacy, fundraising, and public affairs under one strategic vision: bridging policy, philanthropy, and human impact to expand ANEA’s visibility and reach across the nation.


Working alongside the President and executive leadership team, Bob cultivates high-level relationships with government agencies, elected officials, corporate partners, and mental health organizations to drive funding, program growth, and policy alignment. He leads external engagement strategies that elevate ANEA as a thought leader in mental health, humanitarian response, and social equity, while ensuring advocacy efforts translate into tangible support for the organization’s core programs, such as Pathways Home and Unheard Voices. Through strategic diplomacy, persuasive communication, and public representation, he positions ANEA at the center of meaningful dialogue and action on America’s most urgent humanitarian and mental health challenges.


Beyond advocacy, this role anchors ANEA’s major fundraising and partnership initiatives, securing transformational gifts, sponsorships, and institutional alliances that empower sustainable growth. Bob advises on external strategy, helps shape legislative and philanthropic partnerships, and amplifies ANEA’s voice across public, private, and civic arenas. A respected lobbyist and bridge-builder, he embodies ANEA’s values of compassion, collaboration, and courage, using his influence to mobilize leaders, inspire donors, and create measurable change in the lives of those we serve.

KEVIN FLYNN, M PhD, Medical Director

Dr. Kevin Flynn, M.PhD, serves as the Medical Director of A New Era America, providing executive leadership and clinical oversight for all programmatic and therapeutic initiatives across the organization. As the chief architect of ANEA’s care and service delivery model, Dr. Flynn ensures that every program—ranging from mental health and wellness interventions to trauma recovery and humanitarian support—is grounded in evidence-based practices, ethical integrity, and compassion-centered care. He supervises all clinical and program staff who work directly with individuals under the organization’s banner, ensuring quality, compliance, and consistency across service areas.


As a member of the executive leadership team, Dr. Flynn bridges science, compassion, and innovation to elevate ANEA’s impact nationwide. He oversees the design and evaluation of program curricula, outcome metrics, and best-practice protocols while mentoring clinicians and program directors to deliver high-quality, person-centered support. Collaborating closely with the Chief Financial & Compliance Officer, Director of Programs, and Director of Mental Health Innovation & Impact, he ensures ANEA’s initiatives meet the highest standards of clinical excellence and ethical care. Through his leadership, A New Era America continues to expand its reach and credibility as a trusted provider of wellness-centered mental health and humanitarian services.

STORAI JALAL, Director of Strategic Partnerships & Impact Relations

Storai leads the cultivation of powerful alliances that expand ANEA’s reach, resources, and real-world impact. This role is responsible for developing and sustaining high-value relationships with corporate, philanthropic, and community partners whose missions align with ANEA’s humanitarian and wellness-centered initiatives, including Pathways Home and Unheard Voices. Through strategic engagement, thoughtful stewardship, and innovative collaboration models, the Director ensures that every partnership drives both meaningful impact and organizational growth.


Working at the intersection of development, communications, and advocacy, this leader serves as the bridge between ANEA and its external partners—crafting sponsorship proposals, managing key donor accounts, and negotiating funding and collaboration agreements. They work closely with the Communications and Leadership teams to ensure every partnership is publicly celebrated, visibly impactful, and integrated into ANEA’s broader strategic goals. With a focus on relationship-building, impact storytelling, and long-term partnership vision, this role plays a vital part in advancing ANEA’s mission to heal minds, restore humanity, and empower communities to thrive.

JACK MORRIS, Director of Creative Strategies & Storytelling

Jack serves as the creative heartbeat of the organization, shaping how our mission is seen, felt, and understood across every platform. This leader oversees all facets of creative direction, including visual production, photography, film, and multimedia storytelling. They conceptualize and execute high-impact campaigns that communicate the soul of our work to diverse audiences, ensuring every image, video, and message captures the human emotion and purpose behind our mission. This role combines artistic vision with strategic communications, bridging storytelling, branding, and advocacy through a unified, emotionally resonant creative voice.


The Director leads and manages the full creative and communications ecosystem, guiding the social media strategy, supervising designers, videographers, photographers, and editors, and developing cohesive content calendars and campaign narratives. They also collaborate with media and talent partners, manage press and public relations strategy, and ensure alignment between the creative vision and organizational goals. Acting as both a visionary and a hands-on producer, this person transforms ideas into powerful visuals, stories, and campaigns that elevate awareness, inspire action, and drive tangible social impact.

ALICE ZHANG, Chief Financial & Compliance Officer

Alice serves as the organization’s chief steward of financial health, regulatory integrity, and ethical governance. This executive leader oversees all financial strategy, accounting, budgeting, and compliance functions, ensuring that every dollar is managed with transparency, purpose, and alignment to A New Era America’s mission. The CFCO designs and implements multi-year fiscal plans, manages cash flow and reserves, and ensures rigorous audit readiness and grant accountability. From budgeting and funder reporting to restricted fund tracking and sub-recipient monitoring, this role ensures that the organization’s financial operations not only meet but exceed nonprofit and healthcare compliance standards.


Beyond finance, the CFCO leads enterprise-wide compliance and privacy strategy, serving as both HIPAA Privacy Officer and risk governance lead. They oversee data protection, contracts, and ethical oversight, managing policies, incident response, and board-level reporting to safeguard ANEA’s credibility and trust. Acting as a strategic partner to all departments, including Operations, Development, Programs, and External Affairs, the CFCO establishes the guardrails that allow ANEA to grow confidently and sustainably. This role blends fiscal leadership with principled stewardship, ensuring the organization’s impact is both measurable and responsibly managed for long-term resilience and public trust.
